Harish Hande, managing director of Selco, a solar power company, has also recently developed an incubation lab near Bangalore, India.
Description
Harish Hande is co-founder of Selco Solar, a company that has, over the past 15 years, supplied solar lighting to more than 100,000 homes. Hande has won scores of international awards for his efforts.
Now he's started something new. It's an incubation lab, a technology center, hours away from Bangalore, India in the heart of small, rural villages. Harish and his colleagues wanted to hear directly from villagers what technologies they need to improve their lives.
Peggy Wehmeyer talked with Harish Hande on a recent trip to Boston.
