Ladies' Market in IndiaWill Everett/World Vision Report
An Indian vendor sells placemats at a market in central Delhi set up just for women vendors.
Description
A quarter of India's 10 million street vendors are women, according to the World Bank. Despite their growing numbers, these entrepreneurs face many obstacles. Women vendors often experience sexual harassment and violence, even from the police.
Some of the women, though, now have an alternative: a weekly market just for women. Will Everett reports from New Delhi.
