Rising Chinese superstar Sa Ding Ding grew up in Inner Mongolia, the child of a Mongolian mother and a Han Chinese father. Inspired by minority cultures, she sings in Mandarin, Mongolian, Tibetan, Sanskrit, and a language that she's made up all of her own. Because of Sa Ding Ding's interest in minority musical styles, some of her international fans have questioned her political stance on Tibet, but the singer has refused to take sides.
