Will Everett/World Vision Report
For centuries, craftsmen in Kabul have made it possible for the illiterate to sign their names to basic documents.
Description

If you can't read or write, how do you sign a document or cash a check? In Afghanistan, engravers can make you a signet ring; the stamp stands in for a traditional signature. These street vendors ply their trade for the illiterate outside banks and government buildings.

Will Everett has this latest installment in our Street Vendor series.
