Description
In India's western state of Gujarat, Kamal Parmar has been working to educate the poor for more than a decade. Parmar is a Dalit — sometimes called India's untouchable caste. With the help of neighbors, he's created a makeshift school, and he doesn't charge a single rupee.
Jill Ryan stopped by what's become known as the "footpath school" and has our story.
